Full Description of our Chiropractic Session

Manual Therapy &  Percussion  – To begin the session, percussion with the G5 GK3 massager is performed over the paraspinal muscles and other major muscle groups with a variety of applicators. Extra percussion is applied to injuries or problem areas.  This is very relaxing for the entire body.  Percussion is applied to the muscles all around the spine, including the neck and shoulders, upper and middle back, low back and hips, calves and knees, head and scalp and the feet.

Assisted stretching – Neck, shoulders, hips, low back and hamstring and other assisted stretches are performed.  This helps increase the range of motion and substantially releases stored tension. Bilateral symmetry and alignment is improved and a more normal posture is achieved. The body becomes relaxed for the adjustment. 

Trigger point release – Performed by contacting the trigger point directly by hand.  A trigger point is a localized spasm that feels like a “knot” which usually radiates referred pain or sensations with deep pressure. This technique contributes to your overall relaxation and your global release of tension. Caused by stress and misalignment, a trigger point can be a major cause of symptoms.

The Adjustment – Misalignments in the spinal column can occur anywhere from the neck down to the lower back and sacrum. The flow of nerve impulses from the brain through the spinal cord to the body and back to the brain can be distorted by these misalignments. Nerves can also be “pinched”.  Specific adjustments done by hand to correct the alignment and to improve the mobility of “stuck” joints are performed.  All the joints, including neck and spine, shoulders, hips, wrists, ankles, and knees.
